ADHD Coaching FAQs

Who is ADHD coaching for?

Whether you’re already diagnosed, awaiting an assessment or self-diagnosed, ADHD coaching is for anyone who identifies as neurodivergent (any condition under the neurodivergent umbrella) and wants a specialised approach.

What is ADHD coaching?

Using the ADHD Executive Functioning Coaching Framework™️ from ADHD Works, we can work together to harness your strengths and figure out what may be holding you back. You will work to set attainable goals by using your own interest-based nervous system to find what motivates you and what can keep you accountable. By beginning to understand how your neurodivergent brain works, we can create personalised strategies to help you reach your true potential, eradicate shame and have more compassion for yourself.

What can ADHD coaching can help with?

ADHD coaching can help with all of the following and more:

Education & knowledge about your neurodivergent brain and executive functioning

Self-awareness

Identifying your strengths

Establishing routines

Organisational tools

Planning

Motivation & accountability

Improving self-esteem

Managing Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD)

Managing the push and pull of an AuDHD brain

Achieving specific life/career goals

What is Coaching not?

Coaching is not a replacement for therapy. You may need counselling alongside coaching and to pause coaching while you have some counselling. We can work together to figure out what would be best for you.

Coaching is not a student/teacher relationship. I won’t tell you off if you don’t complete the goals you set yourself. The point of coaching is to try things and figure out together how your brain works and what will help you to get results. I can keep you accountable without invoking shame.

What is Access to Work and do you accept funding?

Access to Work can help you get or stay in work if you have a physical or mental health condition or disability. You can use the grant to pay for coaching with me. Price per session available on request. Check eligibility and apply here.

How many sessions do you offer?

I offer 121 one hour coaching sessions via Google Meet. During the introductory call I will find out what you would like to achieve from coaching and we can agree on the number of sessions we think would be beneficial. Please see my coaching packages below. I usually recommend starting with six sessions and then go from there. People with Access to Work funding will be able to book twelve sessions.

If you are in Nottingham and prefer to meet face to face, please ask about booking a room at The Magnolia Therapy Centre NG5 2EF. Hourly rate will be slightly more to account for this plus travel.

Do you provide accountability between coaching sessions?

Yes, I use the platform Notion where I will create your personal coaching hub. This is for you to keep yourself accountable. You can go on there and see what we have discussed in the sessions and a breakdown of any goals you have set yourself. You can then tick them off as you complete them. We can also agree check ins by Whats App or text from myself to keep you accountable between sessions.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes, this will also be discussed during the introductory call.
