This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our website and services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, make a purchase, leave a comment, or contact us for support. This may include:
- Name, email address, mailing address, and phone number
- Payment information
- Comments you leave on the site, along with your IP address and browser user agent string (used to help detect spam)
If you leave a comment, an anonymized hash of your email address may be shared with the Gravatar service to check whether you have an account there. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible alongside it.
Images: If you upload images to the website, avoid including embedded location data (EXIF GPS) — visitors can download and extract this data from any image on the site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process and fulfil your orders
- Send order confirmations and updates
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Improve our website and services
- Send marketing communications (only with your consent)
3. Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt in to having your name, email address, and website saved in a cookie for your convenience on future comments. These cookies last one year.
If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to check whether your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we also set cookies to save your login information and screen display choices:
- Login cookies last two days (two weeks if you select “Remember Me”)
- Screen option cookies last one year
- These are removed when you log out
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved containing the post ID only (no personal data). It expires after one day.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality.
4. Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, or articles from other websites). This content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website directly — those sites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the content, including tracking if you’re logged into an account there.
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share it with service providers who help us operate the website and run our business, provided they agree to keep it confidential.
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam-detection service.
6. How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely, so we can recognise and approve follow-up comments automatically rather than holding them for moderation.
If you register on our website, we store the personal information in your user profile for as long as your account is active. You can see, edit, or delete this information at any time (except your username). Website administrators can also see and edit this information.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your personal information at any time
- Request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you
- Request that we erase your personal data (excluding anything we’re required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes)
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
